Transferring Calls through the Web Application
Whenever you receive an incoming call, dial an outbound number on your VOIP phone, or use our ClickToCall feature, a call control window will pop-up on your screen in the RingByName web app. In addition to identifying your inbound caller or outbound contact, the Call Pop-Up Window now allows you to transfer a call to another extension or phone number without having to use your desk phone. Depending on your needs, there are two types of transfers you can do, Unattended and Attended Transfer.How to do Unattended Transfer
When the Call Pop-up appears on your screen, you need to:
- Press Transfer
- Type or Search the name, phone number or extension of the person you want to transfer to
- Select the phone number highlighted in blue
- Press End to complete the transfer
How to do Attended Transfer
When the Call Pop-up appears on your screen, you need to:
- Press Transfer
- Type or Search the name, phone number or extension of the person you want to transfer to
- Select the phone number highlighted in blue
- Wait for the person to answer and speak with them to announce the caller
- Press End to complete the transfer
