Integrate Zoho CRM with Ringbyname!


Many customers have asked how they can take the information inside of RingByName and integrate it with Zoho CRM. Using Zapier, much like with many other apps it is possible to connect RingbyName features to the Zoho CRM app. You can automate and move info between your web apps automatically and take advantage of Click2Call to so you can focus on your most important work. It's easy enough that anyone can build their own app workflows with just a few clicks.

For example, you may want each of your missed calls in RingByName to be added as a new lead in Zoho CRM or whenever a new contact is created in Zoho CRM that same contact can be automatically added  Its compatible with thousands of other apps so you can also for example have all of your new client notes emailed to you via Gmail. The possibilities are endless.

Ringbyname Supported Triggers

  • New Voicemail - Triggers an action whenever a new voicemail is created.
  • New Fax - Triggers an action whenever a new fax is received.
  • New Call Recording - Triggers an action whenever a call is recorded.
  • Call Ended - Triggers an action whenever a call is ended.
  • New Contact - Triggers an action whenever a new contact is created in RingByName.
  • New Note- Triggers an action whenever a new note is entered in RingByName.
  • New Missed - Triggers an action whenever a call is missed.

Ringbyname Supported Actions

  • Create Note - Creates a note in RingByName based on a trigger from another application.
  • Send Fax - Sends a fax using RingByName based on a trigger from another application.
  • Create Contact - Creates a contact in RingByName based on a trigger from another application.
  • Call a Number - Calls a number based on a trigger from another application.
  • Find Contact - Finds a contact in RingByName's stored contact list

Zoho CRM Supported Triggers

  • New Contact - Triggers when a new contact is created. If you are on a paid plan for the Zoho CRM then it is advisable to use New Module Entry.
  • New Lead - Triggers when a new lead is created. If you are on a paid plan for the Zoho CRM then it is advisable to use New Module Entry .
  • New Module Entry - Triggers instantaneously when any entry is created in the specified module.
  • New or Updated Contact - Triggers when a new contact is added or modified in Zoho. If you are on a paid plan for the Zoho CRM then it is advisable to use New/Updated Module Entry.
  • New or Updated Lead - Triggers when a new lead is added or modified in Zoho. If you are on a paid plan for the Zoho CRM then it is advisable to use New/Updated Module Entry.
  • New/Updated Module Entry - Triggers instantaneously when any entry is created or updated in the specified module.
  • New User - Triggers when a new active user is added to your Zoho CRM account.
  • Updated Module Entry - Triggers instantaneously when a module entry is updated

  •   Add Tag - Add new tag to existing module entries

How to get Started with RingByName and Zoho CRM on Zapier

 To start using RingByName with Zapier, click on RingByName in the list of apps and click on "Connect Account"

You should then see a pop-up window asking you to log-in and authorize the connection between RingByName and Zapier.

After logging in you will be sent back to your zap where you now have RingByName connected. You can begin creating a RingByName zap by clicking on the "Make a New Zap" link in your Zaps area.

Click on RingByName from your list of available connected Apps

Give your new Zap a name and select a trigger, then click "Save + Continue"

You may be asked to select a RingByName account (even if you only have one account connected) and to verify it by clicking on the "Test" button. Once verified, the account will display a green "Success" message. Click "Save + Continue".


Click on the "Fetch & Continue" button to perform a test of the integration.


A "Test Successful" message will display. Click on Continue.

Once you've connected your Ringbyname account, we'll connect your Zoho CRM account! We'll repeat the same steps starting by searching for Zoho CRM, and clicking Connect Zoho CRM to 4000+ apps.



We'll then begin signing into your Zoho Account. Be sure you select the Zoho website you visit (usually Zoho.com).

 


Now that your signed in with both Ringbyname and Zoho CRM you can follow the on-screen to integrate with the selected application. Please note, Zoho CRM is a Premium app and would require Premium app supported Zapier plans.

Integrating Using Predefined Templates

For convenience, RingByName has created several templates to quickly automate an integration using Zapier. These include:

  •   New Contact  in Zoho CRM -  Triggers  > Add New Contact in Ringbyname - Action

  • Call Ended in Ringbyname - Trigger > Add Attachment to contact in Zoho CRM - Action

These are just some of the automations that can be created with the more than 1000 different other services and software packages that Zapier interacts with. We recommended checking in with Zoho Regarding using with the 'module' based integrations.

Common Problems

I'm getting a "Test Unsuccessful" message stating I have no calls.

When creating a zap, you must have at least one phone call logged in your call records in order for the Zap to be connected properly. To resolve this issue, complete a telephone call using your RingByName account, then perform the integration test again.

 I'm getting a "Test Unsuccessful" message stating I have no voicemails.

When creating a zap, you must have at least one voicemail in your call records in order for the Zap to be connected properly. To resolve this issue, complete a telephone call and leave a voicemail on your RingByName account, then perform the integration test again.

 I'm getting a "Test Unsuccessful" message stating I have no faxes.

When creating a zap, you must have at least one fax in your call records in order for the Zap to be connected properly. To resolve this issue, complete a successful send or receive of a fax using your RingByName

account, then perform the integration test again. If this does not resolve the issue, verify that fax service is enabled and available on your RingByName account.

 I cant use Zoho CRM with Ringbyname, I'm seeing 'premium required'. 

Zoho CRM is a premium app now on Zapier.com. You'll need one of the Zapier plans that includes access to at least 1 premium app.
