RingByName Management Console Access 

Need private administrative access to a RingByName account without using one of the account’s regular users? RingByName Management Console Access provides a dedicated admin login that can be used by authorized resellers, IT contacts, or account owners when account-level changes are needed.


Before you start: Management Console Access is intended for administrative account management only. It is not a calling, texting, faxing, or end-user service. This access should only be provided to authorized contacts who are responsible for managing the account.


What Is Management Console Access? 

Management Console Access is a dedicated administrative login used to manage a RingByName account without relying on a standard user profile from the account’s user list.

This can be useful for resellers, third-party IT teams, account owners, or authorized administrators who need access to account settings while keeping admin access separate from regular employees and users.


What Can Management Console Access Be Used For? 

Management Console Access can be used to review reports, update call flow settings, manage billing details, revoke or update account access, and perform other administrator-level changes.

It can also help when an account has lost access to its previous administrator, when an employee with admin access has left the company, or when an IT provider needs a dedicated login to help manage the account.


What Can Management Console Access Not Be Used For? 

Management Console Access is not a phone user, extension, or communication endpoint. It cannot be used to place or receive calls, send or receive text messages, send or receive faxes, or operate as a regular RingByName user.

It is only intended for administrative account access and management.


Who Should Use Management Console Access? 

Management Console Access may be provided to account owners, authorized IT administrators, or reseller administrators when separate administrative access is needed.

For reseller-managed accounts, this access may also be available from the Reseller EHP Portal. If direct credentials are needed, contact our RingByName support team and they can generate credentials for you.


What Do I Do If The Account Lost Its Admin User? 

If an account owner no longer has access to the original administrator user, contact our RingByName support team. Management Console Access may be used to help regain administrative control of the account, review current users, and update access as needed.


What Do I Do If A Third-Party IT Provider Needs Admin Access? 

If a third-party IT provider needs to manage the account, Management Console Access can provide a separate administrative login without assigning that provider to a regular phone user. The account owner or authorized contact should confirm who needs access before credentials are provided.
