Groundwire Configuration Guide for iPhone

This configuration Guide is provided as a reference to our customers. RingByName makes no guarantees as to the interoperability of third party software. If you have not done so, please download and install the Groundwire application from the Apple App Store or by clicking here.
After downloading and installing Groundwire on your iPhone, follow the simple configuration steps on the next page.


Step 1) Load the Groundwire application


Step 2) Agree to “PUSH NOTIFICATIONS” (see photo above)



Step 3) Select Name in New Sip Account: Choose RingByName in new account.





Step 4) Using the credentials given to you by your Sales or Support Agent, complete the following fields:



Title: RingByName

Username: your 7 digit virtual number

Password: your device password

Domain: your domain name 

Example: 0000000.sip.ringbyname.com




Touch the Save button when all information has been entered.






Step 5) Select the Advanced Settings option towards the bottom of the screen. 





Step 6) Select Default next to the Incoming Calls title, next set “On with Push”, then hit the back arrow on the top left corner.


Step 7) Still inside Advanced Settings, scroll down to Voicemail Number and change the setting to be *97. Press the Done button when finished.




Step 8) Select Settings on the top left hand corner of the Accounts screen



Step 9) Towards the top of the Settings page, select Incoming Calls




Step 10) Set Incoming Calls to Background or Push
